At the event, representatives of Blue Moon shared the factory’s water conservation and environmental protection practices in recent years, including products and processing equipment designed to help save water at source, systematic management of water consumption processes, continuous pursuit of water conservation initiatives and research, and application of cutting-edge water conservation technologies to improve utilization rates of water resources. Blue Moon said, "We put great emphasis on the environmental performance of our products starting at the design stage. In 2015, we launched the 'Concentrated Plus Laundry Detergent', which is the first product with a measurable dispensing pump in China. The product has rich active substance content and a formula that requires using small amount of water, thus boasts reduced impact on the environment at source throughout its life cycle. At the same time, Blue Moon has continued to innovate and launch new concentrated products, leading the development of concentration technology and giving liquid cleaning products the drive to ‘go concentrated’." Such practices and achievements of Blue Moon in the green and environmental protection realms have gained high recognition from the Wind team.
In recent years, guided by national strategies related to such as the dual-carbon goals, common prosperity and rural revitalization, ESG concepts that emphasize concerted development of the economy, environment, and society have become an increasingly indispensable factor to consider by the capital market in making investment decisions. As a professional provider of home cleaning solutions in China, Blue Moon gives high regard to sustainable development and has integrated ESG concepts into corporate management, actively putting ESG into practice.
On environmental protection, Blue Moon has actively responded to the country’s dual-carbon goals by integrating into the life cycle of products the concept of environmental friendliness, advancing concentration of its products and steering green development of the industry. According to its ESG report, more than 90% of Blue Moon products have secured Certification of China Environment Labeling, 11 products have China Water Conservation Certification, and 26 have China Green Products Certification.
As an enterprise with a strong sense of social responsibility and mission, Blue Moon has actively assumed social responsibility and initiated the Guangzhou Blue Moon Charity Foundation. In 2023, Blue Moon and the Charity Foundation launched a variety of public welfare activities and supported the "Healthy Angel" compaigns program to spread the concept of clean and healthy living. It also launched such special operations as the Gansu-Qinghai earthquake relief and the Beijing-Hebei flood control and relief, to assist protection work in the disaster-stricken areas. Moreover, the Group sponsored cultural and sports events such as the Graduates Art Fair and the summer edition of the FISU World University Games to help foster development of arts and sports.
Looking ahead, upholding the ESG action principle of "Offer better products (services), more friendly to the environment and build a happier society", the Group will persist with strengthening and improving ESG management, so that it can contribute more to promoting green, low-carbon and high-quality development, and building a harmonious society.
