The 16th International Graduates Art Fair Kicks off, Joining Hands with Blue Moon to Create the Art of Cleanliness
2024-10-20

On 19 October, the 16th International Graduates Art Fair (IGAF) showcased over 2,500 works of more than 670 art students and young artists from 129 domestic and international universities at the Wuhan International Convention & Exhibition Center. From 19 to 27 October, the exhibition presented a multidimensional, interconnected and fascinating contemporary art feast to the residents of Wuhan.

This year marks the 11th year of collaboration between IGAF and Blue Moon. Over the past 11 years, IGAF and Blue Moon have been jointly committed to promoting innovation and progress in Chinese youth art, and facilitating the vigorous development of social aesthetic education. By developing multiple public art projects, they have connected art with the public and ignited people's quests for a better life.

The opening of IGAF - boosts the growth of China's future original forces

As the largest youth art project in China, IGAF has always been in the spotlight, and the same goes for this year. It is reported that IGAF will utilize close to 15,000 square meters of exhibition space on two floors of the Wuhan International Convention & Exhibition Center this year, presenting a comprehensive exhibition area plus seven distinctive themed zones. It will show in a "panoramic way" the creations and explorations of the current graduating students from fine art programs of art academies and young artists. It covers a comprehensive range of artistic expression, from classic painting art, emerging new media art, pioneering experimental art, conceptual art, performance art to cutting-edge artistic explorations that blend art and technology.

It is the fifth year that IGAF has been held in Wuhan and also the 16th edition of the fair. Notably, " young" is the most distinctive feature of the artists participating this year, with artists from the post-90s and post-00s making up 84% of all exhibitors.

Since its inception in 2012, IGAF has been dedicated to discovering, supporting and promoting young artists, striving to provide an open, active and vibrant high-level exhibition platform to China's young artistic community. Upholding the public welfare concept of "free participation for artists" since the first edition, over the past 13 years, the 16 editions of IGAF have exhibited more than 29,500 artworks by over 9,670 young artists for free. Such opportunities for them to directly connect the public, professional institutions, art collectors, and the media have opened for them a more sophisticated artistic stage, helping them perfect their skills.

Over the years, the IGAF has gained wide attention and support from the government, all sectors of society, and the general public. As a partner and principal sponsor of the Art Fair for 11 consecutive years, Blue Moon corporate development and social responsibility have always been closely tied.

For 32 years, Blue Moon has insisted on technological innovation, which echoes the IGAF's philosophy of encouraging young artists to innovate. At the opening ceremony of the Art Fair this year, Xu Yuling, the Deputy General Manager of Blue Moon, said, "I hope the Art Fair can ignite more young artists' creative passion, and encourage them to explore a broader creative space and build a more vibrant artistic future, that artistic education can flourish in the city and artists' aspirations may take flight."

11 years of companionship - Blue Moon fosters "the art of cleanliness"

The IGAF does not only care about the creative endeavors of young people, but also the aesthetic education and growth of the younger generations, as a strong country rests on the strength of her young people. Today, young people have become an indispensable force that is impossible to ignore. The creativity they showed at the Art Fair will serve as vivid examples for professional art institutions to map the trajectory of the new generation's artistic evolution. How to identify and nurture a pool of young art enthusiasts among teenagers and children has become a long-term undertaking of the art industry.

To this end, the IGAF has cooperated with Blue Moon to launch a public art project named "Blue Action: The Art of Cleanliness" (蓝⾊⾏动:洁净的艺术) targeting teenagers and children aged 3 to 18 across China. The project aims to complete a collective creation through "thematic painting" and "Artist & AI co-creation".

It is a thematic painting co-creation activity that calls for imagination, with "cleanliness" as the inspiring word, encouraging participants to tell stories about purity, simplicity and beauty in their heart for more people and the world to come to appreciate those qualities again.

Against the backdrop of an improving socio-economic foundation, people are paying increasing attention to the quality of life, and "cleanliness" has become the essence of life they strive for.

Cleanliness is always associated with beauty. For Blue Moon, cleaning is a science and also an art. It is not only about cleaning the living environment with scientific methods, but also about making people feel the joy of the soul through the art of cleanliness. Therefore, Blue Moon hopes the activity can convey to more people that yearning and understanding of cleanliness and inspire them to think and pursue a clean life.

Just as the connotation reflected by the new product "Supreme All-in-One laundry detergent" that Blue Moon launched this year, cleanliness itself is an art - can be visible and invisible, can be scented, can be felt, and can be colored. It is not only the cleanliness of clothing or living spaces, but also that on the spiritual level. Wearing clean clothes speaks to one's esteem and confidence, while living in a clean and comfortable environment makes one more pleasant and relaxed.

In the future, Blue Moon will continue to upgrade its products and services based on precise and in-depth insights into user needs. At the same time, it will summarize and refine scientific laundry methods to solve the pain points of consumers in cleaning, and seek to give consumers a cleaner, more convenient, and efficient and energy-saving way of life.

Dedicated to helping every family to enjoy a clean, healthy, comfortable, respectable and delightful "Blue Moon" lifestyle, where cleanliness becomes an art.
